The Lilac is a stunning bird, this picture really does not do her justice.  She is a lilac coloured hen with splashes of purple.  Some are almost pure lilac and some are covered in loads of splashes. 
As well as being stunning to look at she is also very quiet and productive.
She is capable of laying up to 315 light brown eggs in her first year.
